Allen-Bradley PLUS II Custom Firmware Installation Instructions
Allen-Bradley PLUS II Custom Firmware is a specialized software designed for a specific application. It introduces a 2-second power loss fault delay time, enhancing the device's resilience against power fluctuations. This firmware is essential for applications that require reliable operation even in environments with intermittent power supply.

Instructions
Custom Software EN910 differs from the standard 2.004 firmware in
the following way:
• Implementation of a 2 second power loss fault delay time. The timer
is engaged when the [Line Loss Fault] parameter is enabled and bus
voltage drops below 85%, but above minimum bus voltage.
! ATTENTION: The Custom Software supplied is designed
for a specific application and differs from the standard 1336
PLUS II product offering. It must be installed and run only
under this custom application. Attempting to run this
Custom Software under any other type of application or
condition, could result in unpredictable and/or hazardous
conditions.
! ATTENTION: This drive contains ESD (Electrostatic
Discharge) sensitive parts and assemblies. Static control
precautions are required when installing, testing, servicing
or repairing this assembly. Component damage may result
if ESD control procedures are not followed. If you are not
familiar with static control procedures, reference A-B
publication 8000-4.5.2, “Guarding Against Electrostatic
Damage” or any other applicable ESD protection handbook.

Frequently Answers and Questions
What is the purpose of the power loss fault delay?
It provides a 2-second delay before the device reacts to a power loss event, improving stability during brief power fluctuations.
How does the 'Line Loss Fault' parameter work?
When enabled and bus voltage drops below 85% but remains above the minimum, the 2-second timer is activated.
What are the ESD precautions I should take when handling this device?
As this device contains sensitive parts, handle it with care and follow static control procedures to prevent component damage. Refer to A-B publication 8000-4.5.2 for more information.
Is this firmware compatible with all Allen-Bradley PLUS II devices?
This specific custom firmware is designed for a specific application, and it may not be compatible with other PLUS II models.
What are the potential risks of using this firmware in applications other than the one it was designed for?
Using this firmware in an unintended application could lead to unpredictable and potentially hazardous conditions.
