It is not a question of faith, whether you use TFT monitors or

CRT monitors. It is a question of the application area.

The cathode ray tube (CRT) is an electron tube, generating beams of electrons, which allows rapidly changing voltages and currents to be seen on a fluorescent screen. The CRT monitors require more space than flat-screen monitors, but they are popular due to their excellent colour fidelity and resolution. For some applications, the stack-ability of the rugged monitors is an important selling point.

TFT monitors are based on the use of thin-film transistors (TFTs).

The image is formed when the laser strikes the thin film of silicium. The top features of these monitors are the space-saving flat design and outstanding durability. See more on page 82 for TFT monitors
