Types of alarms

The type of alarm can be determined in various ways via the

Secvest 2WAY. Which alarm is used when, can be defined in the system settings of the Secvest

2WAY.

Internal alarm

In the event of an internal alarm, the alarm only sounds inside the building. The alarm is then given by the panel, the info module and the wireless indoor sounder.

The wireless outdoor sounder would remain silent.

Local alarm

In addition to the above-mentioned sounders, the wireless outdoor sounder now also sounds the alarm. In Germany, the acoustic alarm must be cut off after 3 minutes. The visual alarm remains on.

External alarm

In the event of an external alarm, the alarm is send from every available sounder. At the same time, a call is made to the monitoring station.

Silent alarm

No sounder is activated in this case. However, the system notifies a monitoring station. The silent alarm is primarily used for panic alarm situations.

The new wireless outdoor sounder is a sounder-flash combination, which is entirely wireless. In the event of an alarm, it generates a very loud alarm (105 dB acoustic pressure). In addition to the acoustic alarm, there is a visual alarm in the form of a strip of red

LEDs that can be positioned at the top or the bottom of the siren.

The wireless range is up to 100 meters. The flash light and siren are controlled separately. This means that the flash light can continue to flash, while the acoustic alarm ends after a predetermined period of time. The wireless outdoor sounder is protected against tamper via a cover and tamper-proof switch.

In the event of tamper, the wireless outdoor sounder either automatically sounds the alarm or it passes the tamper message on to the Secvest 2WAY panel.

Depending on the programming, the center either gives or doesn‘t give the command to activate the sounder.

As a purely indoor siren, the wireless siren supports the wireless outdoor sounder and the panel of the Secvest 2WAY with its

90 dB alarm signal in an alarm situation. The siren and the panel communicate with each other on

868.6625 MHz, a frequency that is specially reserved for the security industry. The wireless interior siren can be powered by a battery or a power supply unit. When batteries are used, the lifespan is approx. 2 years. A battery that is becoming weak is indicated to the Secvest

2WAY via the panel and a red LED is illuminated on the siren itself.
