Placing a Test Call to LifeSize Systems
LifeSize Demo (demo.lifesize.com) appears as a default entry in the REDIAL list and local directory for a new system and a system that is restored to default settings. For more
information about restoring a system to default settings, refer to "Restoring Default Settings" on page 30. You can use this entry to place a test call from your LifeSize system. A call
placed with this entry routes to the next available LifeSize video communications system within a group of demonstration systems. The name of the REDIAL list entry changes to indicate the name of the system that answered the call.
Note: To use this entry, you must specify a DNS server in
Administrator Preferences : Network : General or use DHCP that automatically sets a DNS server. If a DNS server is not configured, a call to this entry shows the call status as unavailable, because the call cannot resolve to the IP address.
