Click Get the following IP address and type a different IP address from that of the CDD (e.g. if the CDD IP address is 192.168.0.100, type
192.168.0.101) and click OK
Once these parameters have been configured, insert the CDD IP address in the address bar and proceed with the connection.
W
ireless connection (WiFi)
The wireless connection of the CDD device to the computer envisages the obligation to use a WiFi router acting as a “bridge” for the transmission of data.
The configuration of the WiFI network is done on the display using the panel (consult the chapter “Instrumentation”).

C
onfiguration of the WiFi network
Before starting the configuration procedure, check that you have a WiFi router with the IEEE 802.11b/g standard, with visible SSID. Besides unprotected networks, the WPA and WPA-2 security protocols are supported.
For the configuration it is not necessary to be connected to internet.

Turn on the CDD by plugging the transformer connector into the socket located on the lower part of the device and wait for the green LED to come on, on the display the following message appears ” Power-One ”.
The first operation which is carried out is looking for local WiFi networks within reach of the device.

Found (XX) WiFi
Scanning takes no more than 1 minute and ends positively if at least one network is found. The number of networks found is shown on the display (XX).
Should the network require a change in the DHCP settings proceed as set out in the related paragraph “DHCP configuration”.

The first line shows: number of the network (XX), type of protection
(Open, WPA/WPA2) and level of the signal (indicated with the characters “”). The second line shows the name of the network (SSID).
The level of the signal can vary from one to three, in the example the level is intermediate []
Press the UP or DOWN buttons to scroll through the list of networks.
Once the desired network is selected press ENTER.
The continuation of the installation differs on the basis of the type of protection of the selected network (Open, WPA/WPA2) and on the presence or otherwise of the MAC address filter.

Networks with a MAC address filter

If there is a MAC address filter present on the router, the connection is refused and on the display an error message appears.
Subsequently the MAC address of the CDD is displayed. Note the address and include it among the MAC addresses set up in the configuration menu of the router.
Once the router is configured, reset the CDD and restart the procedure.

onfiguration on protected WPA / WPA2 networks
Protected networks without a MAC address filter
Insert Passkey Before starting the connection attempt, the CDD requires the inputting of the protection key of the WiFi network.
In order to input the access key, press the UP or DOWN buttons to scroll the list of characters and ENTER to confirm the character selected. In order to cancel the last character input, press ESC.

Once the inputting is finished, press ENTER twice to start the connection attempt.

If the key is correct, after around 30 seconds a completion message appears on the display.
At the end of the procedure the message appears “WiFi Enabled”.
Press ESC to exit from the configuration menu.
If the key input is not correct, the display shows the message “wrong password”. Verify the key and repeat the procedure.
If a MAC address filter is present on the router, it is necessary to configure it with the same procedure set out for open networks (Open).

Step 1 - Press the button ESC to access the information pages relating to the CDD and subsequently UP or DOWN until the screen is displayed “WiFi Running”. Press ENTER to choose the option “No” and again ENTER to confirm
Step 2 - Press the UP and DOWN buttons together in order to view the message “Input Password”.
Input the password (0010) using the UP or DOWN buttons to change the number and ENTER to confirm it; ESC to return to the previous character.
Using the UP or DOWN buttons select the menu “Change settings ”; go into the menu and access the sub-menu “Network”, press ENTER, and choose whether or not to set up the DHCP function
(Yes / No) and confirm.
If the DHCP function is off, it is necessary to set up the static IP network address of the CDD to access the local Web Server. The set-up is done by accessing the sub-menu ”Web Server IP“ (contained in the section “Network”).

The CDD automatically memorizes the parameters of the last connection made (SSID and network key). Therefore, if the automatic connection function is running, the CDD will automatically connect to the WiFi network. To activate/deactivate the automatic connection function, press
ESC to access the previous level of the menu and select using the UP and DOWN buttons the item “Autoconnection”. Press ENTER and then UP and DOWN to activate or deactivate the function. Press
ENTER to confirm the selection and ESC to return to the menu.

With the CDD connected to the network it is possible to view the IP address assigned to the device, by pressing ESC from the main menu.
The IP address that is displayed corresponds to the Web Server address.
