Learning the various functions – HOME/Menu

Using the HOME screen

The HOME screen is the gateway screen for all the functions of the camera, and can be called up regardless of the mode setting (shooting/viewing).

1 Touch [HOME] to display the HOME screen.

2 Touch the category you want to set.

3 Touch the item in the category you want to set.

Function Guide

If the function guide is displayed, touch [OK] to confirm.

When you select the (Manage Memory) or (Settings) category

1 Touch the item you want to change the settings.

• If you select (Manage Memory), touch [ Memory Tool].

2 Touch v/V to display the other setting items.

• This operation only applies when (Settings) has been selected.

3 Touch the setting item that you want to change, then touch [OK].

4 Touch the desired setting value.

• Touch [×] or [BACK] to return to the previous screen.

Using the menu items

1 Touch [MENU] to display the menu.

• Different items will become visible depending on the selected mode.

2 Touch a desired menu item.

• If the desired item is hidden, keep touching v/V until the item appears on the screen.

3 Touch a desired setting item.

4 Touch [OK] to turn off the menu.

Sets the level of sensitivity to detect smile.

Selects the continuous shooting method.

Automatically detects the shooting conditions and then takes the shot.

Adjusts Exposure.

Selects the metering mode.

Changes the focus method.

Adjusts the color tones.

Adjusts the colors when shooting underwater.

Adjusts the amount of flash light.

Sets to reduce the red-eye phenomenon.

Optimizes the brightness and contrast.

Changes the vividness of the image or adds special effects.

Selects the anti-blur mode.

Selects the shooting settings.

Retouches still images.

Paints on a still image and saves as a new image.

(Multi-Purpose Resize) Changes the image size according to usage.

(Delete)

(Protect)

Deletes images.

Prevents accidental erasure.

Adds a Print order mark on image that you want to print out.

Prints images using a PictBridge compliant printer.

Rotates a still image.

Selects the folder for viewing images.

Adjusts the volume.
