Multiple handset use
Join a call in progress
You can use up to two devices at the same time on an outside call.
You can buy additional expansion handsets (
CS6709
) for this telephone base. You
can register up to five handsets to the telephone base.

To share an outside call:
When a device is already on a call and you would like to join the call, press
or on the other handset, or press
/SPEAKER
on the telephone base.
To exit the call, press
OFF
or place the handset in the telephone base or charger, or press
/SPEAKER
on the telephone base. The call continues until both devices hang up.
Intercom
Use the intercom feature for conversations between two devices. You can buy additional expansion handsets (
CS6709
) for this telephone base. You can register up
to five handsets to the telephone base.
To initiate an intercom call with a cordless handset:
1.
Press
INT
on your handset or telephone base when not in use.
• If you have only one handset, your handset displays

You can use four devices on two pairs of intercom calls. For example, when four devices are used on two pairs of intercom calls, use the fifth device for an outside call.

Answer an incoming call during an intercom call
When you receive an outside call during an intercom call, there is an alert tone.

To answer on a cordless handset:

Call transfer using intercom
Use the intercom feature to transfer an outside call from one device to another.
