Ventilation gaps

The ventilation gaps should be cleaned on a regular basis with a brush or vacuum cleaner. A build-up of dust will increase the energy consumption of the appliance.

Door seal

Do not use any grease or oil on the door seal as these will cause the seal to deteriorate and become porous over time.

^ The door seal should be cleaned regularly with clean water, and then wiped dry with a soft cloth.

After cleaning

Slide all shelves back into the appliance.

^ Close the appliance door.

Reconnect to the mains and switch the appliance back on.

Switch on the Super freeze function so that the freezer can cool down quickly.

Place the freezer drawers with the frozen food back in the freezer.

^ When the temperature in the freezer is a constant -18 °C or colder, switch the Super freeze function off with the

Super freeze sensor.

Problem solving guide

The compressor runs more frequently and for longer periods of time, the temperature in the appliance drops.

Problem Cause

The compressor is switching on more frequently and for longer periods.

The ventilation gaps in the housing unit have been covered or become too dusty.

Do not block the ventilation gaps.

^ Defrost the appliance and clean it.

The ambient temperature is too high. The higher the room temperature, the longer the compressor will run for.

The appliance was not properly installed in the niche.

^ See "Installation -

See "Installing the appliance".

See "Installation -

Increase the temperature of the room.

The alarm sounds and the power failure symbol t appears in the display.

The temperature display will show the warmest temperature recorded in the freezer during the power cut or interruption to the power supply.
