GETTING STARTED
ELECTRONIC SHIFT LEVER
The electronic shift lever will return to a home position after each operation.
Successful gear selection is not indicated by the physical position of the shift lever.

Instead, successful gear selection is indicated by gear position indicators on the shift lever and in the meter display.
Before shifting, ensure that the engine is running and the brake is applied.
To shift to R (Reverse):

Press the shift lever button 1 and slide the lever forward fully. The R on the shift lever will illuminate, and R will be displayed in the meter display.
To shift to D (Drive):
Slide the lever rearward fully. The D on the shift lever will illuminate, and D will be displayed in the meter display.
To shift to N (Neutral):
Without pressing the shift lever button, slide the lever forward or rearward partially until you feel a slight increase in effort. Hold this position for approximately 0.5 seconds. The N on the shift lever will illuminate, and N will be displayed in the meter displayed.
To shift to P (Park):
Press the P (Park) button 2 on the shift lever.
• Park is automatically engaged if you switch off the ignition or if you unfasten your seat belt and open the driver’s door to exit the vehicle in R, N or D.
The Neutral Hold mode function enables you to exit the vehicle while in
N (Neutral) position:
1. Depress and hold the brake pedal
2. Release the electronic parking brake
3. Push the P (Park) button
4. Slide the shift lever to the N (Neutral) position and hold it for 0.5 seconds until
“N” appears in the vehicle information display
5. Slide the shift lever to the N (Neutral) position again and hold it for 0.5 seconds, until a message “Neutral Hold Mode has been activated” appears in the vehicle information display.
To cancel Neutral Hold Mode, shift to P, R, or D while the engine is running.
