To ensure proper temperatures, you need to permit airflow inside the drawers. Do not block any of the vents with food such as soda, cereal, bread, etc. If the vents are blocked, airflow will be prevented and the temperature controls will not function properly.
For vegetables/berries, meats/fish/seafood store at 34°F (1.1°C). For cheeses and oranges, store at 40°F (4.5°C). For melons, store at 47°F (8.5°C). For potatoes, store at 54°F (12°C). For watermelons/grapefruits, store at 55°F (12.5°C). For white wine, store at 48°F (9°C). For red wine, store at 60°F (15.5°C).
If the power will be out for 24 hours or less, keep both refrigerator drawers closed to help food stay cold. If the power will be out for more than 24 hours, place all perishable food in a food locker or cooler with dry ice. If neither a food locker or cooler is available, consume food if still cold or throw away perishable food at once.
