Frequently Answers and Questions

How do I start the engine?
Place the fuel valve in the ON position. Place the choke lever in the CLOSED position unless the engine is warm. Place the engine switch in the ON position and pull the recoil cord until it offers resistance and then pull with force.
How do I stop the engine?
Place the throttle lever in the SLOW position. Place the engine switch in the OFF position. Place the fuel valve in the OFF position.
How do I change the engine oil?
Drain the used oil with the engine hot. Hot oil drains quickly and completely. Place an appropriate container under the engine to receive the used oil, then remove fill cap, dipstick, and drain plug. Allow used oil to drain completely before reinstalling and tightening the drain plug.
How do I maintain the air filter?
A dirty filter element will prevent air from entering the carburetor, reducing engine performance. If you are going to use the pump in very dusty areas, clean the air filter more regularly than specified in the maintenance chart.
