Chapter 1. Getting started
The Jobflow Manager is an administration tool for managing jobs. It enables you to define a workflow for each job by breaking it down into a series of tasks. Each task has a number of properties that specify when it should commence, the duration of the task, who is responsible etc.
Tasks can be set to run concurrently or sequentially within the job.
The Jobflow Manager also allows you to set alarms to notify staff after a specified number of days.
You are able to generate reports on the progress of tasks. These reports also provide information about the tasks on which each staff member is working.
You can use the Document Manager to attach relevant documents to tasks. You can also record any documents that are required to be completed as part of a task.
You can create master template jobs that contain the tasks to be completed. You do this by entering information into the master template, such as the duration of each task, documents required, any lodgments etc. When a new job of that type is required then all you have to do is enter the commencement date and the assigned staff member.
If you have the Sage HandiSoft Time+Billing 2015 program installed, you can link jobs and tasks created in the Jobflow Manager to automatically created jobs in Time+Billing.
Each job has the following properties:
Duration of the tasks
Staff member responsible for the job
Staff members responsible for the tasks
Partner and Manager responsible for the job.
Name for the job and tasks
Description of the job tasks
Progress of the job
A list of notes made about the job and tasks
A list of alarms and actions should the task run overtime
A list of documents attached to the task
The Task Navigator includes a Gantt chart of each task within a job to clearly indicate the steps and durations involved.
