DocuSign Signing Resource File Content
This section provides information about the functions of the data lines in the master signing resource file. The colors and logos used for your signing view are set in the account branding page for your account.
Important: The information in this section is not presented in the same order as given in the master signing resource file. When changing information you might need to search the resource file for the appropriate data name string(s) to find the information. Similarly, when looking for a description of a data name string, you should search this document for that data name.
Language Settings
These lines allow you to set the languages used for a resource file or limit the languages used.
Data Name

Languages_LimitTo
Description
The two-letter language code html wrapper that sets the language used for the messages in this portion of the resource file. If a value is entered for this, when a signer opens a signing session with that language the settings, header text, and message text in the resource file are used. There can be multiple language wrappers in a resource file.
Note: If you modify the resource file with changes for a specific language, you should make similar changes for all possible languages that your recipients might use. If you only make the change for one language, the change will be lost if the recipient changes languages in their browser.
Example: If you want to customize the resource file text for German (de) and
French (fr), you would set up the resource file as follows:

The two-letter language code that limits the language used for the messages in this portion of the resource file. If a value is entered for this, only that language is shown when signing, no matter what the signer’s browser settings are.

These lines allow you to change the position and maximum width of the dialog boxes shown during the signing process.

Continue Button and Other Actions Menu
These lines set the text used by the CONTINUE button and the OTHER ACTIONS menu. Note that the image used as the example shows all the possible options that could appear in the menu. The options actually shown depend on the viewer and the options enabled for the document or account.
Other Actions Menu Items Enabled outside of the Resource File
Many of the items in the OTHER ACTIONS menu are controlled by settings outside of the signing resource file. The list below describes the settings used to determine when the different menu items are shown.
PRINT & SIGN option – Availability of this option is determined by the following options and settings:
Note: This option is enabled or disabled as described below, while the DocuSign_FaxAllowForSignOnPaper line is only used to enable or disable returning printed and signed documents by fax.
• Classic DocuSign Experience web application Preferences – Features – Sending and Signing Options: Sign on paper and Sign on paper user override options.
If the Sign on paper option is disabled for the account, then the PRINT & SIGN option will not appear in the menu.
If the Sign on paper option is enabled and the Sign on paper user override option is disabled, the PRINT & SIGN option will always appear in the menu.
If both the Sign on paper and Sign on paper user override options are enabled, the PRINT & SIGN option can be set by the sender during sending.
• Classic DocuSign Experience web application Sending an Envelope or Creating a Template – Envelope Settings – Allow recipient(s) to sign on paper option.
If both the Sign on paper and Sign on paper user override options are enabled for the account, the sender can select the
Allow recipient(s) to sign on paper option to show the PRINT & SIGN option in the menu.

If the Signers can reassign envelopes option is disabled for the account, then the ASSIGN TO SOMEONE ELSE option will not appear in the menu.
If the Signers can reassign envelopes option is enabled and the Allow override of reassign by sender option is disabled, the
ASSIGN TO SOMEONE ELSE option will always appear in the menu.
If both the Signers can reassign envelopes and Allow override of reassign by sender options are enabled, the ASSIGN TO
SOMEONE ELSE option can be set by the sender during sending.
• Classic DocuSign Experience web application Sending an Envelope or Creating a Template – Envelope Settings – Allow recipient(s) to change signing responsibility option.
If both the Signers can reassign envelopes and Allow override of reassign by sender options are enabled for the account, the sender can select the Allow recipient(s) to change signing responsibility option to show the ASSIGN TO SOMEONE

If both the Signers can reassign envelopes and Allow override of reassign by sender options are enabled for the account, the sender can select the Allow recipients to change signing responsibility option to show the ASSIGN TO SOMEONE

To use a radio button list box, add your decline to sign reasons as a semi-colon separated list in this line of the resource file. You can use your organization’s internal notations as a code ID by separating the code ID from the decline reason text with an equal symbol (=). Note that the code ID information before the equal symbol is not shown to the recipients.
The code ID and decline reason text are included in the envelope declined email sent to the envelope sender, the envelope History, the Connect envelope information (if used), and envelope information retrieved using the DocuSign
SOAP or REST APIs.
Example:
