Use of the Capture One PRO software PRO application is controlled by a license key. Without a valid license key, which you have activated, you will not be able to operate the application beyond its 30 day trial period.
To create a new session, select the Organize tool panel, click the plus button at the top of the session window. Fill out the fields with the information that you want to be associated with your new session. Click OK to create the new session.
After creating a session, the next step in a typical workflow is to add the image files to it that you want to work with. You can either connect a card reader to your computer and insert your Flash or Microdrive card, or you can drag and drop images from the Finder into the Capture collection window.
To white balance images, select an image that contains either a gray card a neutral white or grey area. If it is not already selected, click on the tool selector to choose the White Balance tool. Select the picker cursor tool. Using the cursor, click the color picker on the gray card's neutral gray area in the image being displayed in the preview window.
To Fine tune exposure, contrast and saturation, select the Exposure tool from the tool selector. Use the EC and CC sliders to adjust the image. Use the Sat: slider to increase or decrease the images' saturation.
Focusing is the process of checking focus and applying sharpening settings to an image. To check focus and sharpness, select the Focus tool from the tool selector. Using the cursor picker tool, select an area of the image to work with from the preview window. The Capture One PRO software PRO will zoom in to a 1:1 final image of that part of the image. Zoom in and out using the Zoom slider. Adjust the images' sharpness using the settings and sliders available.
To process images, select the image you wish to work with, and then select the process tool . The Process tool panel will be displayed. Uncheck Enabled only. Select one of the output types from the Name field, or click to add a new output type. Configure all of the appropriate settings. Click either the Process button at the bottom of the process tool or the process icon at its top. Processing of your images will start. Images are being stored in your selected Processed folder with the individual file names.
