How do I connect the external batteries to the SU5000UXI?
The SU5000UXI contains no internal batteries. The figure shows the location of the battery pack connector on the UPS. Battery pack connectors are color coded; the 48 Vdc UXBP48M connector is blue. Battery pack connectors are also keyed to prevent improper connection. Do not try to install battery packs with connectors that are a different color from the battery pack connector in the UPS. The SU5000UXI can support a maximum of 10 battery packs.
What is the procedure for cold starting the UPS?
When the UPS is off and there is no utility power, use the cold start feature to apply power to the loads from the UPS’s battery. Press and hold the on/test button until the UPS beeps. Release the on/test button during the beep and the loads are powered within four seconds.
What are the steps to take if the UPS is overloaded?
When the UPS is overloaded (the connected loads exceed 5000 VA / 3750 W) , the overload LED comes on and the UPS emits a sustained tone. The alarm remains on until the overload is removed. Disconnect nonessential load equipment from the UPS to eliminate the overload.
