Below you will find brief information for NES10-2 Noise Eliminating Speakers, NESCB Noise Eliminating Speakers. These speakers are designed to greatly improve the clarity and intelligibility of speech in various radio communications. They are suitable for applications with high background noise, such as radio amateur base stations, CB radios, two-way radios, HF radios, marine communications, scanners, taxi base stations, and hands-free car kits. Both models incorporate Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, which is fully adaptive to changing noise levels. The NES10-2 offers 8 user-selectable noise cancellation levels, while the NESCB provides a fixed level, making both compact, easy to install, and powered by 12-28V dc.

Frequently Answers and Questions
What should I do if the speaker does not work at all and produces no sound?
Check that the power connector is suitable (2.1mm, center positive), ensure your radio communication equipment is switched on and receiving a signal, and verify that the LED on the NES10-2 is illuminated green when noise cancellation is active.
My NES10-2 speaker works, but the noise cancellation doesn't seem to improve the audio quality. What could be wrong?
First, check if the LED on the front of the NES10-2 changes from red to green when you switch noise cancellation on and off. With noise cancellation off, turn the sensitivity control fully anticlockwise, then tune your radio equipment to a clear signal with good volume before reactivating noise cancellation. Adjust the sensitivity control if needed.
The volume from the speaker is low and cannot be increased, even after adjusting controls.
The speaker is primarily designed for external speaker sockets. While it may work with some earphone/headphone sockets, the signal output from these might not be sufficient for effective processing. For lower signal levels, bhi's NEIM1031 (Noise eliminating In-line Module) is recommended.
Why is there sometimes a short delay before the noise cancellation becomes active?
This delay is normal and occurs because the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) requires some time to initiate signal processing. This provides an opportunity to ensure that the DSP is not removing any critical detail from the audio signal.
