Frequently Answers and Questions

How do I add a landmark to the map?

You can add a landmark through address lookup or by dropping a landmark icon directly onto the map. To add a landmark through address lookup, click the 'Find Address' button on the main window toolbar. To drop a landmark icon onto the map, click the 'Add Landmark' button and then move the mouse cursor over the map to the area where you intend the landmark to be placed. Click the left mouse button to stick the landmark to the map. You can then drag the landmark across the map with the left mouse button held down to adjust its exact position.

How do I open a detail map for an asset?

You can open a detail map for an asset by first locating the asset on the main map, then right-clicking it with the mouse and selecting 'Detail' from the context menu. Alternatively, you could open the Assets List by clicking the 'Assets' button on the toolbar, then locate the asset row, click it with the right mouse button, and select 'Detail' from the context menu.

How do I set up a geofence?

To set up a new geofence, zoom the map to the area and move the mouse cursor over the 'Geofences' drop-down button on the toolbar. This should produce a drop-down menu listing existing geofences. Select the 'Add Geofence' option and move the mouse cursor to the position from which you will draw a polygon representing the new geofence. Click on the map to construct a geofence polygon. Finish editing by clicking on the starting vertex of the polygon. You will then be presented with a pop-up form where you can give the new geofence a meaningful name, select shading color and opacity, specify the geofence violation condition (Inside or Outside), and select whether the geofence applies to all assets in the fleet.
