How do I adjust the blade tension?
Loosen the blade tension lock knob 1/4 of a turn by turning the knob counter-clockwise. Remove the side cover from the saw. Turn the blade tension adjusting knob clockwise until the blade is tensioned. Blade tension can be checked by pushing down on the blade midway between the two lower wheels. The blade should move slightly with firm finger pressure. After correct tension is obtained tighten the blade tension lock knob. Be careful not to overtension the blade. Too much tension may tend to cause blade breakage. Too little tension may cause the blade to slip on the wheels. Replace the side cover before operating the band saw.
How do I adjust the blade tracking?
Remove the side cover from the saw. Rotate the hand knob clockwise and check to see if the blade rides true, on the approximate center of the three wheels. If the blade rides forward or backward, the following adjustment must be made. Loosen the blade tension lock knob about 1/4 of a turn. Using the hex wrench supplied, turn the blade tracking adjusting screw slightly clockwise to move the blade to the rear and counter-clockwise to move the blade to the front. NOTE: Very little movement of the blade tracking adjusting screw is necessary. Tighten the blade tension lock knob. Rotate the hand knob clockwise to see if the blade rides on the approximate center of the wheels. Readjust if necessary until the blade tracks properly. Replace the side cover before operating the band saw.
How do I adjust the upper blade guide assembly?
The upper blade guide assembly should always be set about 1/8” above or as close as possible to the top surface of the workpiece being cut. Loosen the knob and position the guide assembly to the desired position.
How do I change the blades?
Disconnect the band saw from the power source. Release blade tension, remove side cover, upper blade guard, and table alignment screw. Carefully remove the saw blade. Replace the saw blade by reverse procedure. IMPORTANT: Teeth on saw blade must point down.
