Frequently Answers and Questions

How do I use the power tool socket for dust extraction?
Plug the power lead from the power tool into the socket on the vacuum cleaner. Switch the power switch to the 'll' position. When the power tool starts, the vacuum will start at the same time. When the power tool is turned off, the vacuum cleaner will run-on for approximately 10 seconds before turning off. Use the adaptor supplied to attach the vacuum tube to the tools dust extraction port.
What are the different filters and when should I use them?
The Draper WDV30SSP1 includes a reusable cloth filter for dry vacuuming and a foam filter for wet vacuuming. Always use the cloth filter for dry vacuuming. If you use the vacuum cleaner without the cloth filter, the motor will burn out and the warranty will be voided. For wet vacuuming, use the foam filter. Never vacuum dry dust and dirt with the foam filter fitted as it will provide little or no protection, resulting in motor damage.
How do I clean the filters?
Clean the reusable cloth filter by gently tapping or brushing dirt off. Cleaning should not be done indoors in living areas. Use a mild soap and water solution to wash the cloth filter, then rinse well in clean water. Allow the filter to dry before installing it back onto the filter cage. Clean the foam sleeve filter using a mild soap and water solution to wash the filter, then rinse well in clean water. Allow the filter to air dry before installing it back onto the filter cage.
