How should ground rods be installed for the D/SMKIV-SS system?
A grounding system layout for each downconductor is suggested, recommending a minimum of three radial grounding systems. Each system should consist of a trench approximately 1.5FT [.45M] deep where the conductor is laid and encased in GEM material. A minimum 5/8" x 8' [16mm x 2.4M] long ground rod is suggested in four locations, extending 10FT [3M] below ground level. This is one of several alternative installation methods.
