What tools are needed for the installation?
You will need a set of hex wrenches, a set of sockets and a ratchet, and a set of combination wrenches.
Where should the gasket be placed?
Locate and align the included Gasket as shown.
How do I attach the Support Bracket?
Secure the Bracket with the included Breather Bolts. Ensure that the Gasket remains aligned. Ensure that the carb holes are centered behind the Bracket slots. Tighten the Breather Bolts. Note: Ensure that the Support Bracket fully contacts each cylinder head.
How do I attach the Backing Plate?
Align the holes and secure the Backing Plate to the throttle body with the three Screws from STEP 7.
How do I install the Filter Element?
Install the Filter Element over the Backing Plate.
How do I attach the Cover?
Secure the Cover to the Backing Plate using the 3/4” Screws. Ensure that the Mesh and Beauty ring remain aligned, then tighten the five screws in an alternating pattern.
What should I do after the installation?
Reinstall the main fuse. Double-check all hose connections. Rotate the throttle open; ensure it returns correctly before starting the motorcycle.
How often should I clean the air filter element?
Follow K&N recommendations for proper use and cleaning of the air filter element.
