How do I check the SWR on my MOSLEY antenna?
You can check SWR on all bands of operation by using a standing-wave-ratio (SWR) meter. This should be done every 100 kHz in and out of the band. Make sure your measuring instrument is accurate and that the proper connection is used. Nothing should be installed between the SWR instrument and the antenna except the connecting transmission line.

To disassemble a trap assembly, begin by pulling the trap seals from the ends of the trap assemblies. The seals can be removed without damaging them. Remove the outer screw terminating the wire. Place one hand on the cover and the other hand around the small tubing, keeping your thumb on the wire. Pull the assembly apart while keeping the wire from unwinding or losing tension. Tape the unterminated wire to the plastic coil form and inspect the coil form for damage. The instructions pertinent to the antenna being inspected usually give the number of turns and overall antenna lengths.
