PowerVac G3, PowerVac G5, PowerVac G7, PowerVac G6, PowerVac G10, PowerVac G14 are dry vacuum systems designed to remove air, water, and solids from the operatory. The system operates by drawing air, water, and solids into the separator, where air is expelled through the pump exhaust, and water and solids fall to the bottom of the tank. Vacuum in the separator keeps the check valve closed, and the tank gradually fills. When the water level reaches a certain point, the top float switch closes, shutting off the pump. The loss of vacuum opens the check valve, allowing water and solids to drain. When the water level falls below a certain point, the bottom float switch closes, restarting the pump and the cycle.

Frequently Answers and Questions

What is the purpose of the check valve?
The check valve prevents air from backflowing into the system when the pump is off, ensuring proper drainage.
How does the sleep mode work?
The system enters sleep mode when no suction tips are in use for 5 seconds or more, reducing vacuum pressure to 6”Hg to save energy. The VFD will sense and adjust the vacuum pressure as needed.
What is the role of the door limit switch?
The door limit switch is a safety device that prevents the system from operating with the front cover removed.
What happens when the motor overheats?
The motor has a resettable thermostat that opens when the motor overheats. It will close again when the motor cools down enough.
