If the reinsert indicator light is flashing, it means that the game pak is not loaded correctly. Turn off the Control Deck power switch and start over from step 4.

DO NOT USE ANY POWER PLUG OTHER THAN THE AC ADAPTER PROVIDED WITH YOUR NES.
What do I do if there is no game playfield image on the screen?
Make sure the power switch on the control deck is turned on and that the AC adapter is plugged into a 110/120 volt wall outlet and that the AC adapter output jack is plugged into the Control Deck.
