How do I bleed air from the system?
Place the pump at a higher elevation than the hose and ram as shown in figure 3. Close valve and extend ram as fas as possible. Open valve fully allowing oil and air to return to reservoir. Repeat this procedure two or three times. With ram fully retracted, remove oil filler screw to let pressurized air escape, then reinstall oil filler screw.
What type of hydraulic fluid should I use?
Use only a good grade hydraulic jack oil. Avoid mixing different types of fluid and Never use brake fluid, turbine oil, transmission fluid, motor oil or glycerin. We recommend Mobil DTE 13M or equivalent.
