What to do if a camera won't take a photo?
First, ensure that the SD Memory Card is properly inserted into the SD Memory Card socket with the label facing the front of the camera. Also, make sure that the write-protect switch on the SD Memory Card is not in the LOCK position. If the SD card isn't the issue, verify the camera has adequate battery power, confirm that the camera is not in playback mode, and check that the shutter release button is fully depressed when taking a photo. If the camera still won't take a photo, there may be a malfunction. Consult the troubleshooting section of the manual.
