How do I start the engine?
1. Disengage the clutch by pushing the control rod down as far as it will go. 2. The mixture adjustments have been set properly at the factory, and until tampered with, do not need re-adjustment each time the engine is start- ed. 3. Set the throttle control on handle about half out. 4. Close the choke by moving the choke lever forward. The choke lever is located near the left side of the air cleaner. 5. Operate the starter by giving a slow pull on the cable until the starter engages, then a quick pull to turn the engine. If the engine doesn’t sstart after about two pulls, open the choke to avoid flooding and reclose after about three more pulls. The engine will normally start in one to three pulls, so if many more are required it will be well to look for trouble. When the engine starts, open the choke half-way. Run engine for 2 to 3 minutes to warm up before opening the choke completely.
