The MicroPlate Genie® SI-0400, SI-0401, SI-0402, SI-0403, SI-0404, SI-0405, SI-0406 is a laboratory mixer designed for consistent mixing within all microplate wells. How do I operate the MicroPlate Genie in timed mode?
To initiate timed operating mode, set the 1 to 60 minute timer to the desired run time. Press the push-button switch to start the mixing action. The mixer will run until the set time has elapsed. You can stop the mixing action before the set time by pressing the push-button for a second time.
How do I operate the MicroPlate Genie in continuous mode?
To initiate Continuous Mode, turn the gray timer knob fully counterclockwise until you feel the “click” and the knob is in the detent “TIMER OFF” position. Press the push-button switch to start the mixer. It will run continuously until you press the push-button again to stop it.
What is the operating voltage of the different models?
The SI-0400 model operates on 120 VAC. Models SI-0401 through SI-0404 and SI-0406 operate on 230 VAC. The SI-0405 model operates on 100 VAC.
Will the MicroPlate Genie heat up my samples?
The MicroPlate Genie mixer has a fan that directs air downwards and out of the unit. This ensures that room air is constantly drawn into the unit, preventing your samples from getting heated
