You can connect a serial console to the COM port of the Sophos UTM hardware appliances using the provided RJ45 to DB9 adapter cable. The connection settings are: Bits per second: 38,400, Data bits: 8, Parity: N (none), Stop bits: 1. Access via the serial console is activated by default on ttyS1.
