Open manualFrequently Answers and Questions
What are the minimum clearances required for installation?
The minimum clearances required for installation vary by model and are specified in the table on page 7 of this document. Note that clearances can be reduced with the use of wall heat screens.
What type of flue system is required?
A standard 4.2m flue system is recommended, but specific installations may require different flue lengths. Refer to the flue system diagram on page 9 of this document for details.
What types of floor protection are needed?
The floor protection requirements vary by model. Errigal models require a minimum 12mm thick ash floor protector, while Comeragh and Donard models require a minimum 25mm thick ash floor protector. The floor protector must extend at least 300mm in front of the cooker and 200mm to each side.
How do I ensure proper plumbing connections?
All models use a 1"BSP (25mm) plumbing connection in and out of the water jacket at the rear. To achieve full heating efficiency, the hot flow and cold return pipes must have a minimum rise of 1 in 6 to the hot water cylinder. Bends must be gentle and extra rise allowed for compensation. All wetback connections must be open vented to the atmosphere and installed by a registered plumber to the required Building Code Standards.
