The TFM-566 is a fully synthesized, frequency agile airborne transceiver capable of operating in the 138 to 174 MHz and 66 to 88 MHz frequency ranges. The transceiver has 200 memory positions per band that can each be programmed with a transmit and receive frequency with 25 or 12.5 kHz channel spacing, Tx/Rx CTCSS tones or DPL codes, and a 9-character alphanumeric title.
