How do I switch the Document Finishing System on and off?
The Document Finishing System has two mains inputs: one on the rear of the tower drive unit and one on the rear of the BookMaster Pro. There are two fuses fitted next to each of the mains inputs. To turn the system on and off, use the mains On/Off switches located on the side of the tower next to the emergency stop button, and alongside the BookMaster Pro mains input.
What is the purpose of the emergency stop button?
The emergency stop button should only be used when an immediate stop of the machine is required. Under normal circumstances the machine should be stopped by touching the stop button on the control panel. If the emergency stop button is used, the system will not restart until the button has been released by turning it clockwise.
What are the different components of the Document Finishing System?
The Document Finishing System typically consists of a GUI colour touch-screen, feed bins, a gathering station, a BookMaster Pro, a trimmer, an outfeed conveyor, an optional bar code reader, and an Automatic Spine Master. The automatic spine master is an optional module and is documented in a separate operating manual.
