Frequently Answers and Questions
How do I start the electric starter?
Connect the power cord to the engine's switch box and a grounded 120V receptacle, rotate choke to FULL, move throttle to FAST, and press the starter button. Wait for engine to warm up before moving choke to OFF.
How do I adjust the chute direction?
Turn the chute directional control clockwise to discharge left, counterclockwise to discharge right.
What are auger shear bolts for?
Auger shear bolts are safety features that shear if the auger hits a foreign object, preventing damage to the gearbox. Replace with OEM shear bolts only.
How do I adjust the traction control?
Loosen the jam nut on the traction drive cable, thread the cable in/out one turn, recheck adjustment, and retighten the jam nut. Ensure the machine moves freely with traction control released and resists movement when engaged.
How do I clean the discharge chute?
Stop the engine, use the provided clean-out tool (shovel-shaped end) to dislodge snow/ice, then reengage the auger briefly to clear remaining debris.

How to replace the shear bolts on the auger?
To replace the shear bolts on the auger: 1. Check if the bolts have sheared if the augers do not turn. 2. Use the two replacement shear bolts and hex lock nuts provided with the snow thrower (kit number OEM-710-0890 for future use). Important: NEVER replace the auger shear bolts with standard hex bolts, as this will void the warranty.
