Eastwood 1800 Installation and Operation Manual
6.1.2 Door adjustment
In order for your stove to burn at its best efficiency, the door must provide a perfect seal with the firebox. Therefore, the gasket should be inspected periodically making sure to obtain an air tight fit. Airtightness can be improved with a simple latch mechanism adjustment. To increase the pressure on the gasket, remove one washer (A). To reduce pressure on the door, when putting a new door gasket for example, put two washers. To adjust:
1. Unscrew the nut.
2. Remove the door latch and the key path pin (B).
3. Remove or add one washer (A) as needed. Keep the removed washer for future adjustment.
4. Re-install the key path pin in the key-way and slide the latch along it.
5. Secure with the nut.
