TROUBLESHOOTING
If your transceiver is not working as it should, these suggestions might help you eliminate the problem. If the transceiver still does not operate properly, take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance.
Problem Possible Causes Remedies
The transceiver does not work at all.
Be sure the adapter is plugged into a working
AC outlet and is fully inserted into the CHRG jack.
Poor or no reception.
Improperly connected antenna.
Be sure the antenna is properly connected.
The transceiver does not transmit.
The battery pack is not properly connected.
The battery pack is not charged.
SQUELCH is not correctly adjusted.
PUSH TO TALK not fully pressed.
Attach the battery pack to the transceiver (see
“Installing/Removing the
Battery Pack” on
Page 7).
Charge the battery pack
(see “Charging the Battery Pack” on Page 7).
Adjust SQUELCH clockwise (see “Receiving
Transmissions and Adjusting Squelch” on
Page 14).
Fully press PUSH TO
TALK.
