Montage:

1 Bereiten Sie das ZENEC-Gerät für den Anschluss vor, bevor Sie mit dem Ausbau des Originalgerätes beginnen. Verbinden Sie das im Lieferumfang enthaltene Hauptanschlusskabel wie im Anschlussdiagramm dargestellt mit dem ZENEC-Gerät.

Den noch verbleibenden Stecker des Hauptanschlusskabels anschlie-

ßend mit dem mitgelieferten CAN/

Stalk- Interface verbinden.

Installation:

Prepare the ZENEC device for the installation before you start dismounting the factory installed OE radio. Connect the ZENEC device to the provided main wire harness as shown in the device connection diagram.

After that, connect the remaining connector of the main wire harness with the supplied CAN/Stalk interface.

2 Hebeln Sie den Plastikrahmen der das Originalgerät umgibt vorsichtig und von rechts beginnend aus seiner

Halterung. Verwenden Sie dafür ein entsprechendes Lösewerkzeug zur

Entfernung von Kunstoffverkleidungen. Fahren Sie damit gegen den

Uhrzeigersinn um den Plastik-rahmen herum. Der Plastikrahmen sollte sich nun vollständig vom Armaturenbrett entfernen lassen.

Gently lift the plastic frame which surrounds the factory installed OE radio carefully, starting out from the right side of the dashboard.

Use a suitable prying tool for removing plastic parts. Move the tool counter clockwise around the plastic frame to completely remove it.

3 Verwenden Sie das passende

Entriegelungswerkzeug um das

Originalgerät vorsichtig aus dem Einbauschacht herauszuziehen. Stecken

Sie anschließend alle Steckverbindungen an der Geräterückseite des

Originalgerätes und der darunterliegenden Tastenleiste aus.

Lift and pull the factory installed

OE radio out of the dashboard carefully. Proceed to unplug all connectors on the backside of the

OE radio and the button bar below.

4 Entfernen Sie die 2 Torxschrauben unterhalb des Klimabedienteils. Hebeln Sie den Plastikrahmen der das

Klimabedienteil umgibt vorsichtig und von rechts beginnend aus seiner

Halterung. Verwenden Sie dafür ein entsprechendes Lösewerkzeug zur

Entfernung von Kunstoffverkleidungen. Fahren Sie damit gegen den Uhrzeigersinn um den Plastikrahmen herum. Der Plastikrahmen sollte sich nun vollständig von der Konsole entfernen lassen. Ziehen Sie das Klimabedienteil heraus und stecken Sie anschließend alle Steckverbindungen an der Rückseite des Klimabedienteils aus.

Remove the two torx screws below the A/C control panel. Loose the plastic frame that surrounds the climate control panel as well, carefully lifting up the plastic starting on the right side of the centre console.

It should be possible to remove the plastic frame from the dashboard completely. Pull the A/C control panel out of the slot and unplug the connectors located on the backside.

5 Entfernen Sie erst die Schaltkulisse um danach die untere Tastenleiste aus der Mittelkonsole zu entfernen.

Stecken Sie anschließend die Steckverbindungen an der Geräterückseite der Tastenleiste aus.

Proceed by removal of the gear shifting gate, allowing you to access and pry out the lower button bar of the centre console. Once the button bar is loose, unplug the connectors on the backside.

6 Verlegen Sie nun die Kabel, die ursprünglich an der Tastenleiste unter dem Originalgerät angeschlossen waren, über die Montageöffnung des

Klimabedienteils zum Montageort der unteren Tastenleiste in der

Mittelkonsole.

Route the cables which were connected to the button bar below the factory installed OE radio originally, through the opening slot for the

A/C control panel to the installation site of the lower button bar in the centre console.

7 Nehmen Sie nun den optional erhältlichen ZENEC-Adapter Z-EACC-S6J und verbinden Sie die Kabel, die zuvor mit der oberen und unteren Tastenleiste verbunden waren, damit. Anschließend verbinden Sie den ZENEC-Adapter mit der neuen Tastenleiste, welche die

Tasten der nicht mehr vorhandenen oberen und unteren Tastenleiste integriert hat. Montieren Sie abschließend wieder die Schaltkulisse und die neue

Tastenleiste um diesen Arbeitsschritt abzuschließen.

Use the separately available ZENEC adapter Z-EACC-S6J and connect the cables, which were connected to the two button bars before, with it.

Then connect the ZENEC adapter with the new button bar, which contains the buttons of the no longer existing upper and lower button bars.

Mount the shifting gate and the new button bar to finish this work step finally.

8 Für diesen Arbeitsschritt benötigen Sie einen Körner und einen Bohrer mit 3 mm Durchmesser. Schieben Sie das

ZENEC-Gerät komplett und korrekt in die Montageöffnung. Das Gerät verfügt an der Vorderseite über vier Montagelaschen, die jeweils mit einem Loch versehen sind. Verwenden Sie diese

Löcher als Schablone, um die dahinterliegenden Plastikflächen der Montage-

öffnung jeweils mit einer Körnung zur

Bohrungsvorbereitung zu versehen.

Bohren Sie nun die vier Löcher, um später das ZENEC-Gerät zu verschrauben.

9 Montieren Sie die GPS-Antenne an einer geeigneten Stelle und achten

Sie darauf, dass der GPS-Empfang nicht durch die Abschattung von metallischen Fahrzeugteilen negativ beeinflusst wird. Verlegen Sie nun das

Anschlusskabel der GPS-Antenne in die Montageöffnung für das Radio.

Falls Sie später das mitgelieferte externe Bluetooth Mikrofon verwenden möchten, montieren Sie es jetzt und verlegen das Anschlusskabel ebenfalls in die Montageöffnung für das Radio.

Empfehlenswerte Montageorte für das

Bluetooth Mikrofon sind in der Nähe des Rückspiegels oder hinter dem

Lenkrad.

For this work step you need a peening tool and a twist drill with a diameter of 3 mm. Insert the ZENEC device completely into the mounting slot.

The device has four mounting holes on the front side. Use these mounting holes as a drilling template to add a graining to the plastic parts behind the mounting holes to prepare the drilling.

Drill the four holes for the fixation of the ZENEC device later.

Mount the GPS receiver at a suitable location and make sure that the GPS reception isn’t adversely affected by shadowing effects of car parts made of metal. Lay the cable of the GPS receiver to the opening slot of the

ZENEC device.

If you want to use the provided external Bluetooth microphone, mount it and lay the connection cable to the opening slot as well. A suitable location for the Bluetooth microphone is near to the driving mirror or behind the steering wheel.

bl Verbinden Sie den Quadlockstecker des ZENEC Hauptanschlusskabels mit dem Gegenstück des Fahrzeuges und schließen Sie den Verriegelungsmechanismus des Steckers.

Anschließend verbinden Sie nacheinander die Anschlussstecker der GPS-

Antenne, des externen Bluetooth Mikrofons (falls in Gebrauch) und der FM/

AM Fahrzeugantenne des Fahrzeuges mit dem ZENEC-Gerät.

Connect the Quadlock connector of the ZENEC main wire harness with its counterpart in the vehicle. Secure the locking mechanism of the Quadlock connector.

Proceed to connect the GPS antenna, external Bluetooth microphone (if in use) and the connector of the FM/

AM antenna one by one to the ZENEC device.

bm bn bm Verlegen Sie die diversen Anschlusskabel des ZENEC-Gerätes sorgfältig im unteren Bereich der Montageöffnung und achten Sie darauf, dass keine Kabel geknickt werden. Schieben Sie anschließend das ZENEC-Gerät vorsichtig und mit dosierter Kraftaufwendung zurück in die Montageöffnung und verschrauben Sie es mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben in die von Ihnen vorher gebohrten Löcher. Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie die Schrauben nicht zu fest anziehen (ca. 1Nm).

Route the various connection cables of the ZENEC device in the lower area of the assembly opening and take care not to break them.

Carefully insert the ZENEC device and, by applying controlled force push it back into the assembly opening. Use the provided screws to bolt it down with screws and the holes you have drilled before.

Please pay attention not to tighten the screws too tight (ca. 1Nm).

After the ZENEC device has been mounted, you can finish off your install by clipping on one of the provided front panel trim covers. bo bo Stellen Sie sicher, das sich das Fahrzeug im Freien befindet und der GPS-

Empfang nicht durch irgendwelche

Abschattungen (Bäume, hohe Gebäude etc.) negativ beeinflusst wird. Stecken

Sie die mitgelieferte SD-Karte mit der

Navigationssoftware in den dafür vorgesehenen SD-Kartenslot des ZENEC-

Gerätes und starten Sie es anschlie-

ßend, um den sog. Sat-Fix zu erstellen. Achten Sie darauf, dass das

Fahrzeug nicht bewegt wird, bis der

Sat-Fix erstellt ist.

Drücken Sie nun die NAV-Taste um den

Navigationsmodus zu starten und wählen Sie die Kartenansicht aus. Sobald auf der Kartenansicht Ihr aktueller

Standort zu sehen ist, wurde der Sat-

Fix automatisch erstellt (kann je nachdem 3 bis 5 Minuten dauern) und Sie können das ZENEC-Gerät verwenden.

Make sure that the vehicle is outdoors under free sky and that GPS reception isn’t impaired by shadowing affects

(trees, tall buildings etc.).

Insert the provided SD card which contains the navigation software into the respective SD card slot of the

ZENEC device and turn on the device allowing it to create a Sat-Fix. The vehicle should not move until the Sat-Fix has completed.

Now press the NAV button to start the navigation mode and choose the map view. Once your current position is visible on the map, the Sat-Fix has been successfully created (which may takes

3 to 5 minutes) and you can use your

ZENEC device now.

➜ Eine einwandfreie Funktion des Z-E5514M kann nur dann gewährleistet werden, wenn Sie das im Lieferumfang enthaltene Zubehör verwenden.

➜ Am beiligenden originalen Anschlusskabel dürfen keine Veränderungen irgendwelcher Art vorgenommen warden.

➜ Achten Sie bei der Installation darauf, dass die verschiedenen Anschlusskabel und Zubehörteile nicht durch scharfe Kanten beschädigt, oder die Anschlusskabel geknickt werden. Verwenden Sie keine Gewalt während der Montage.

➜ Je nach Präferenz und Wahl des geräteinternen oder des externen (zu montierenden) Mikrofons, muss im

„Setup Menü“ die Mikrofonquelle für den Bluetooth

Modus entsprechend angepasst werden.

➜ Achten Sie vor der finalen Montage des Z-E5514M darauf, dass alle Steckverbindungen auf der Geräte- rückseite richtig verbunden und fest eingerastet sind.

➜ Bei Fragen oder Problemen wenden Sie sich an

Ihren ZENEC-Händler, bei dem Sie das Gerät gekauft haben.

➜ SEAT Ibiza Fahrzeuge ab Baujahr 2013 sind mit einem

Werksradio ausgestattet, in welchem diverse Funktionstasten des Fahrzeugs integriert sind. Durch den Ausbau des OE Werksradios werden diese Tasten ebenfalls entfernt.

Um die Bedienfunktionalität des Fahrzeug nach der

Montage eines ZENEC Z-E5514M wieder herzustellen, benötigen Sie eine neue Tastenleiste, die wie in der Montageanleitung beschrieben, vor der Schaltkulisse eingebaut wird und die Tastenfunktionen des OE Werksradios ersetzt bzw. ergänzt. Für den Anschluss der neuen

Tastenleiste wird außerdem das ZENEC Adapterkabel mit der Artikelnummer Z-EACC-S6J benötigt.

➜ The flawless function of the Z-E5514M can only be guaranteed, when the original accessories and wire harnesses contained in the set are deployed as described in this installation manual.

➜ Do not apply any odifications on the original wire harness of device and vehicle, since this is not required.

➜ During device installation, pay proper attention not to damage any of the wires, plugs or other parts. Avoid applying too much mechanical force especially when pushing the unit back into the slot.

➜ Depending on the preference and selection of the device internal or external (to be installed) microphone, the

BT microphone source must be chosen accordingly in the setup menu.

➜ Please check if all plug-and-socket connections on the rear of the Z-E5514M are properly seated before you insert and fix the device in the console.

➜ Please contact your authorized ZENEC dealer or the distributor of the country, where you have purchased your

E>GO unit, if you have any technical problems or further questions.

➜ SEAT Ibiza vehicles from year 2013 are fitted with an

OE factory radio which integrates various function keys of the vehicle. By removing the OE radio for the install of the

Z-E5514M, the vehicle functions buttons are also lost and need to be replaced, to restore vehicle functionality control after the installation of the Zenec device.

For this reason, you need to purchase a new button assembly that integrates the previously lost buttons, allowing you to complete device installation as described overleaf.

Furthermore, to connect this new button assembly, a

ZENEC interface cable with item number Z-EACC-S6J is also required.
