DOCUMENT CAMERA
INSTRUCTION SHEET FOR CANON RE-450X/455X
PREPARE & POWER ON:
1. Raise the right-hand illumination lamp first,
then the left-hand illumination lamp.
2. Grasp the camera arm with one hand, and
press the arm lock release lever with the
other. Raise the arm until it locks into place.
3. Direct the camera head toward the document
table.
4. To turn on the document camera, flip the
power switch located left side of the
document camera. It will take a moment to
fully initialize before displaying an image.
5. On the control panel, press the light button
to turn on the illumination lamps.
OPERATION:
•
To zoom in/out, use the zoom buttons;
Wide for zoom out, and Tele for zoom
in.
• To turn on/off Auto Focus, press the Auto
button. To focus manually, use the manual
Near/Far buttons.
• To freeze an image, press the Still Picture
button. Press it again to unfreeze. Note that
you cannot make adjustments (zoom, focus,
etc.) while an image is frozen.
TURN OFF & FOLD UP:
1. To turn off the document camera, flip the
power switch located left side of the
document camera.
2. Turn the camera head sideways until it stops.
3. Grasp the camera arm with one hand, and
press the arm lock release lever with the
other. Lower the arm until it locks into place.
4. Fold the left-hand illumination lamp down,
then the right-hand illumination lamp.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
• Most image color or quality problems arise because the recommended settings on
document camera the control panel have been altered. Here’s what the control panel
settings be:
o The Input setting should have “Camera” selected
o White Balance should be set to “Auto”
o The Exposure knob should be centered between “Low” and “High”
o The Detail knob should be centered between “Soft” and “Hard”
o Focus should be set to “Auto”
