History in the making

DSC DOES IT AGAIN

A leader with loyal installers in more than 140 countries, DSC was the original innovator with small, easy-to-use keypads and microprocessor control panels.

Now, surrounded by imitators, we push the industry bar higher once again with a renaissance of product development in many areas and a big launch for our core product line.

Our engineering team has spent 2 years developing new control panels, keypads and screens that strike a balance between advanced technical innovation and popular, practical security systems that are easy to sell, easy to install and easy to use.

In 2006 we are proud to introduce at least 10 new keypads, a touchscreen and 3 future-smart POWERSERIES control panels.

Our marketing people describe this as a “Power Surge.” It is also being called a

“Value Surge” because our product team has worked diligently to be able to offer all kinds of new features without significantly adding to cost.

As a world leader, the DSC team considers itself responsible for setting the global standards for tomorrow that will make life easier and more prosperous for DSC installers and our other channel partners.

UNIVERSAL CONTROL PANELS

DSC engineers wanted to design a control panel that set the benchmark for tomorrow’s security needs. Different models of our then-current line-up could accommodate many emerging security needs, but it would be better for all our businesses if more needs could be satisfied across the range and within a smaller range of models.

It would mean installers would find it easier to order the right panel. It would mean fewer callbacks to upgrade the control panel as new technological features were added to customer security systems.

It would make it easier for distributors to manage inventory. They could stock a greater volume of fewer models, limiting back orders and improving service for installers. For DSC it would mean simplifying and strengthening the business by allowing production teams, engineering and product development to focus optimal energy on maximizing quality and the reliability that has made DSC famous all over the world.

For these reasons 3 advanced new control panels have been developed: the

PC1616, PC1832 and the PC1864.
