Important Safety Instructions

Always follow the basic safety precautions below when using your Digital Photo Frame. This will reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.

Warning: To reduce the risk of fire or shock hazard, do not expose this product to rain or moisture.

Warning: To prevent the risk, do not remove the cover, there are no spare parts inside, refer all product services to professional personnel.

• Digital Photo frame is for indoor use only.

• Unplug Digital Photo frame before performing care and maintenance.

• Do not block the ventilation holes on the back of Digital Photo Frame at any time.

• Keep your Multimedia Digital Photo Frame out of direct sunlight and heat source.

• Protect the power cord. Route power cords appropriately to avoid trip over by someone else or pinched by items placed on or against them. Pay particular attention to the point where the cord attaches to Digital Photo Frame.

• Only use the AC adapter included with the Digital Photo Frame. Using any other power adapter will void your warranty.

• Unplug the power cord from the outlet when the unit is not in use.

Cleaning LCD Screen

Treat the screen gently. The screen is made of glass which can be scratched or damaged

To clean fingerprints or dust from the LCD screen, we recommend using a soft / nonabrasive cloth such as a camera lens cloth to clean the LCD screen.

If you use a commercial LCD cleaning kit, do not apply the cleaning liquid directly to the LCD screen.

Clean the LCD screen with cleaning cloth moistened with the liquid.

Introduction

Congratulations on your purchase of your digital photo frame.

Before operating the unit, please read this manual carefully, and retain it for future reference.

This manual will help you use the many exciting and useful features that will make your photo frame viewing more enjoyable. It includes a step by step guide to the basics on photo frame operation including instructions on uploading and playing photos.

You will also be able to create a slideshow using multiple transition effects or display one picture at a time.

Unit Assembly

Open the package and remove the foam packing. Install the digital photo frame stand at the rear of the unit. Insert the DC jack and plug the adapter into any AC outlet.

Insert the media into the correct slot and turn power to ON position.

VIEW To view the photo in thumbnail mode.

SLIDESHOW To run slideshow mode.

Operation

Photos can be viewed directly from your memory card or you can copy files to the device that you want to store.

For instructions on copy files, please see the “Copy file in the file list screen” section on page 5.

Viewing Photo in Slideshow Mode

The digital picture frames is compatible with the following memory cards:

Secure Digital card (SD)

Multi Media Card (MMC)

Memory Stick (MS)

Insert the memory card with the front label facing away from you. Do not force the memory card into the memory slot, if you are unable to insert the memory card easily, you may have inserted it the wrong way. Reverse it and try again.

Note:

The digital picture frame will only recognize digital picture stored in jpeg format. Digital picture stored in other formats will be ignored by the device.

Make sure you have at least one picture stored on the memory card. The frame will not function properly without a stored picture.

You can also use a USB flash drive. It operated the same way as the memory cards. Simply insert the flash drive into the USB host plug on the side of the frame.

The slideshow of your photos will begin to play automatically. The slideshow will play your photos in the order which they are listed on your memory card. You can rearrange them using a PC.

To select and view an individual picture, please see “ Viewing Individual Pictures” on page 4.

Main menu

When the digital Picture Frame is turned on, you will see the MENU screen.

There are one memory card slot and one USB port are on the board. If there is a device is inserted in these slot, the corresponding icon will be shown, otherwise it will be hidden.

Viewing Individual Pictures

Select the desired media on the main menu. If a media card is used, it will appear as an additional icon. Select the “ Photo” option from the menu and press “ENTER”.

A photo thumbnail list will appear. Use the UP/DOWN, LEFT/RIGHT arrows to highlight the desired photo.

When the desired photo is highlighted, press ENTER to view it in full screen. The photo will show up in full screen and remain still in pause mode. Press ENTER to begin slideshow mode.

While a slideshow is playing or a picture is on display, press the

ENTER button. The following display menu will appear.

The option icons displayed are as follows:

Previous

Play the previous picture in the picture list.

Play or Pause

Play or pause the current slideshow.

Next

Play the next picture in the picture list.

Rotate

Use the rotate function to change the picture orientation to either portrait or landscape.

Stop

Stop slideshow and return to the photo thumbnail list.

Zoom

Increase the picture size by 2,4,8 or 16 times.

Copy files in the file list screen

If the user wants to do copy, press the MENU button to select FILE icon. When the sub-menu is on, use the UP/DOWN cursor to select the file and press the RIGHT button to confirm the selection, then press the COPY/DEL button, the screen will show user COPY/ DELETE information in the right. Use the UP/DOWN cursor to select COPY and press ENTER to confirm, then user also use the UP/DOWN cursor to select the device and press the RIGHT to confirm that you want to store the copy file. After copying it, it will show

“Finished”. Press the ENTER to turn off the submenu and go back to the file list.

Feature Setup

Many of the picture frame functions can be adjusted to your preference. By using the SETUP option from the main menu, the following changes can be made: use the ENTER button and UP/

DOWN arrows to change the options.

Calendar and Clock Display

From the main MENU screen, select Calendar/clock and press ENTER, the Calendar/ Clock screen will display. A picture slideshow will begin at the picture at the picture preview window at the right part of the screen.

Limited Warranty

VIEWSONIC Digital Photo Frame

ViewSonic warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use, during the warranty period. If a product proves to be defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period, ViewSonic will, at its sole option, repair or replace the product with a like product.

Replacement product or parts may include remanufactured or refurbished parts or components.

ViewSonic Digital Photo Frame are warranted for 1 year for labor from the date of the first customer purchase.

Who the warranty protects:

This warranty is valid only for the first consumer purchaser.

What the warranty does not cover:

1. Any product on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed.

2. Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from:

a. Accident, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning, or other acts of nature, unauthorized product modification, or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product.

b. Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by ViewSonic.

c. Causes external to the product, such as electric power fluctuations or failure.

d. Use of supplies or parts not meeting ViewSonic’s specifications.

e. Normal wear and tear.

f. Any other cause which does not relate to a product defect.

3. Any product exhibiting a condition commonly known as “image burn-in” which results when a static image is displayed on the product for an extended period of time.

1. For information about receiving service under warranty, contact ViewSonic Customer Support (please refer to Customer Support page). You will need to provide your product’s serial number.

2. To obtain warranted service, you will be required to provide (a) the original dated sales slip, (b) your name, (c) your address, (d) a description of the problem, and (e) the serial number of the product.

3. Take or ship the product freight prepaid in the original container to an authorized ViewSonic service center or ViewSonic.

4. For additional information or the name of the nearest ViewSonic service center, contact ViewSonic.

Limitation of implied warranties:

There are no warranties, express or implied, which extend beyond the description contained herein including the implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Exclusion of damages:

ViewSonic’s liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the product. ViewSonic shall not be liable for:
