Frequently asked questions

To turn on the AD824, press the [POWER] switch, and the POWER indicator will light up. To turn it off, press the [POWER] switch again, and the indicator will go out. It is recommended to power on your audio equipment in a specific sequence: sound sources first, then the AD824, followed by a mixer or recorder, and finally power amplifiers. Reverse this order when powering down.

Use the [WORD CLOCK] button to cycle through the available sources: 44.1 kHz internal, 48 kHz internal, BNC, or SLOT. When you press the button, the corresponding indicator will flash quickly. Press the [WORD CLOCK] button again while it’s flashing to confirm your selection. The indicator will then light up continuously, and the indicator for the previously selected source will turn off.

If “E1” or “E3” appears, it indicates that the internal backup-battery voltage is low (E1), or low with corrupt internal memory data (E3). You should contact your dealer about replacing the internal backup battery. While the AD824 will still function, it may not remember your current settings the next time it's powered on.

First, ensure the +48V MASTER switch is in the ON position. Then, use the [SEL] buttons to select the desired channel; its SEL indicator will light up. Press the +48V on/off button, and the channel’s +48V indicator will flash quickly. Press the [+48V] button again while it's flashing to toggle the phantom power on or off for that specific channel.
