Industrial Remote Access – The Scalance M is part of the

Security Integrated portfolio by Siemens. The device allows for fast, secure, mobile access to remote sites using IP-based communication for maintenance, monitoring, and trouble- shooting. The 3G UMTS router allows for temporary VPN connections between a PC running the Softnet Security

Client software and the Scalance M device. Permanent VPN connections, used for monitoring, are configured between the Scalance S devices and the Scalance M. Once a VPN tunnel is established, any IP based communication can be routed through the tunnel. The Scalance M is the perfect device for connecting to remote equipment installations for both Industrial and near-Industrial applications.
