Frequently asked questions

Place the SC600 on a firm, level surface, adjust the rubber pad legs to ensure it is level using the 'bubble' level, and install the weight platform with the supplied screws. Allow 30 minutes for warm-up and stabilization after powering on.

Use the recessed selector switch located on the rear of the unit to toggle between grams and ounces. The LCD display will instantly reflect the selected unit.

The TARE function allows you to reset the display to zero after weighing an item, enabling you to measure subsequent items without including the weight of the previous one. To use it, weigh the first item, press the TARE button, then remove the first item and place the second one on the platform.

Prepare a sample group (10, 20, 50, or 100 pieces). With the SC600 off, press and hold the CAL button while switching it on until you hear a beep. The display will scroll group sizes. Place your sample when the desired group size is displayed and press CAL. Remove the sample, and the SC600 is ready to count unknown numbers of pieces.

Standard weights of either 200 grams or 400 grams are required for calibration. These weights are not supplied with the SC600.

When the 'LO' battery icon appears on the LCD, open the battery compartment located on the bottom of the SC600 using the latches. Replace the six (6) 1.5V AA batteries, observing correct polarity, and then carefully replace the compartment.
