How to Download & Install Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac

free of cost. Sac State does not endorse the user of Sophos Anti-Virus Home Edition over any other anti-virus solution. If you are
using another anti-virus solution you will need to go through similar steps in order to ensure that the software is running and up-todate (check your software provider’s website for instructions and/or contact information).
1. Navigate to:
http://www.sophos.com/en-us/products/free-tools/sophos-antivirus-for-mac-homeedition/download.aspx
2. Click on the “Download Sophos Antivirus for Mac Home Edition version 9” link.
3. Double click on the installation file once it is fully downloaded.
4. Review the ‘Before You Install’ file if necessary, and then double-click on Sophos Anti-Virus Home
Edition.mpkg.
5. Agree to the software license
agreement and then click Continue.

6. Enter the administrator name and password to allow the installer to install. Click Ok.

7. After receiving a conformation that the installation was successful, click Close.
