ELEMENT Installation Steps
Introduction
Includes butterfly brackets that attach to the side of the housing and are vertically adjustable
from below the ceiling with a wing nut. Also includes 16 gauge steel nailer bars. Integral
gunsights for positioning with laser levels or string ensure consistent alignment during
installation. Flangeless trim units include die cast crack-resistant plaster plate with no-fill collar
that installs after the ceiling to prevent cracking by unifying the plate, ceiling, and housing.
Plaster plate is to be mudded over directly up to the aperture for seamless appearance.
Step 1 Install housing to the ceiling joists with the adjustable 16 gauge steel hanger bars (shown right). Step 2 Mount gypsum board to ceiling and walls. Step 3 Place plaster plate into the aperture. Screw in with supplied hardware. Easily attaches to housing with provided screws. Step 4 Skim coat around the plaster plate and up to the aperture for a seamless appearance. Step 5 Finished installation. ">
