The VR 11510 is a professional two-way fullrange speaker with an integrated passive crossover.

Housed in a bass reflex enclosure designed for fixed installation, it is loaded with a 15" woofer and a 1" high-frequency driver coupled to a constant directivity horn. The installed VR 11510 is the perfect choice for midsized fullrange applications requiring extended low-frequency response, and for use as a mid-/high-range unit in configurations with a subwoofer such as the compact HK Audio

IL 115 Sub or IL 118 Sub. Its precise directivity and ability to distribute sound evenly throughout the room comes courtesy of three variations of

(asymmetric) horns with 60° x 40°, 90° x 55° and

60°-90° x 55° coverage patterns. All may be rotated

90°. The housing is made of MDF, coated with impact-resistant paint, and equipped with M10 bushings designed to accept HK Audio mounting hardware. An acoustic fabric covers its sturdy steel grille. This screen is, like the enclosures, available in all RAL colors. The outdoor version features speakers and housings modified to withstand adverse climatic conditions.

Architect Specs

The professional compact speaker system shall be housed in a bass-reflex enclosure, and equipped with an 15" low/mid driver and 1" high-frequency driver coupled to a CD-horn.

The speaker system shall be available with 3 different horn versions: 60° x 40°, 90° x 55°, and an asymmetric horn with 60°–90° x 55° (horizontal x vertical).

It shall be possible to rotate all horns by 90° for an alternate coverage pattern.

The trapezoidal housing shall be made of MDF and coated with a polyurethane finish. The steel grille protecting the cabinet's front shall be covered with a visually opaque, but acoustically transparent fabric.

The speaker including the front grille cloth shall be available in any RAL color.

The housing shall include a total of 13 mounting points (metric thread M10) for either vertical or horizontal installation or for affixing safety equipment, with 3 points each on top, bottom and back, plus 2 points each on the left and right sides.

For best acoustic results and overload protection the speaker shall be operated in combination with the HK AUDIO DSM2060 or HK AUDIO FIRNET controllers. The appropriate speaker data set for each controller shall be available for download.

The speaker system shall have excellent speech intelligibility and precise coverage patterns with constant directivity from 1 kHz on up with the selected horn.

The speaker system shall have the following specifications:

Sensitivity: 106 dB @ 1W/1m in half space.

Maximum SPL: 129 dB in full space (measured with program spectrum following DIN 60268-01

[dB SPL]).

Program power handling: 700 W

Impedance: 8 Ohm

Directivity index (DI) for 60° x 40° horn:

12 dB (+/-2.5dB), 1 kHz–16 kHz.
