THE SINGER MANUFACTURING COMPANY
INSTRUCTIONS FOR OILING
Te insure easy running and prevent unnecessary wear of
the parts which are in movable contact, the machine re-
quires oiling, and when 1n continuous use 1t must be otled
at least once each day with Singer "011 for High Speed Sew-
ing Machines (Cloth and Leather)" for general use, or
“Stainless 011 for High Speed Sewing Machines" where a
stainless o1îl 15 desired.
To reach the oiling points under the machine bed, re-
move the two front screws in the machine base; turn the ma-
chine back on its hinges and pull out the cover on the
underside of the machine bed,

In ordering from this 11st, use ONLY the part NUMBER in the
FIRST column.
The number stamped on a Sewing Machine Part 1a In every case
the number of the single part only.
Every combination of parts sent out as such has 1ts specific
number, which, aithough not stamped on the parte, must be used
when ordering the combination.
Each number always indicates the SAME PART in whatever list
it appears, or for whatever machine,
The letters after some of the numbers indicate the styles of
finish only, as follows:

2001 to 50000 and 52001 to 140000 and 142001 to
180000 are Sewing Machine Parts, 180001 and upward
are numbers of Electrical Parts.
The figures in the second column refer only to the plates,
1llustrating the parts, and are NOT TO BE USED in ordering.

repairs are made at factory.
