Remove any labels from the body of the percolator. You may wipe the unit with a clean, damp cioth. Dry thoroughly. Do not immerse the percolator in water or other liquid. To remove any dust that may have accumulated on the removable parts during packag- ing, wash the inside of the percolator, lid, spreader basket and pump tube with warm, soapy water. Do not immerse the percolator. Simply rinse it out and wipe with a cloth and mild detergent if necessary. Rinse and dry. Do not wash in the dish- washer. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleansers. _ NOTE: We recommend that prior to percolating your first pot of coffee, you “perc” cold water only, without ground coffee. This will remove any dust that may have settled inside the coffeemaker. ' | IMPORTANT: Use cold water only. The automatic percolating system works best with cold water. USING YOUR PERCOLATOR 1. Place your percolator on a flat, level surface, such as a countertop, well back from the edge. Plug the unit into a 120V/60Hz AC oniy outlet (typical outlet found in kitchen or on electric stove). 2. Remove Lid, Basket, Spreader and Pump Tube. Use cola, fresh tap water to fill percolator. Fill according to markings on inside of percolator for number of cups desired. Use cold tap water. The automatic brewing cycle is timed to begin with a cold water start. | 3. Wet the basket to help keep small particles of coffee from sifting through. Place basket on pump tube. Add desired amout of regular or percolator ground coffee. NOTE: we recommend using coffee ground specifically for percolators. Percolator specific coffee grounds are larger in size so they do not pass through the holes in the basket during the brewing process. After using your percolator a few times you may adjust the amount of coffee to suit your own taste. | & & & # & & & в ов о® % 6 6 Ф € # # # # 6 6 A * # % % % * # # + + # % # 6 # # 6 # # * # # # 4 # * & 6 & & & # # # #& # à 6 ® & % 6 # à #% 5 #% à 6 à 46 #% # 6 #% 4 4 6 # # & # 4 4% à % 6 & F #% 6 6 6 46 46 46 4 4 % 4 6 в 6 6 6 46 6 # 46 46 46 4 46 F 4% 6 6 6 à 6 % 46 6 # 6 в - F - - - - F - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - — — — — - - - - - - - — — — — - - - - - - « + % & & & & & & & % & 46 & E & 4 à 4 # 4 à # 6 E # # & & 4 # & ® $ ® #% % # % ® % % # # # # # #4 # à # © E STANDARD COFFEE MEASURES TO USE MILD/LIGHT MEDIUM STRONG/DARK 12 6 3 10 10 5 7 9 8 4 _ 8 6 3 4 - | 6 5 2-3/4 ' 312 ; | 5 + 3 4 3 1-3/4 — -З —3n 2 12 2 - 21N 1 cup brewed coffee = 5 fluid ounces 1 standard coffee measure = 2 level tablespoons 4.
