Bottle arrangement and placement
Pay attention when arranging:
l In order to maintain proper air circulation, do not let bottles touch the back of the unit.
Storage capacity may vary due to different bottle sizes and shapes..
The stated bottle capacity is based on standard bottle size (as indicated below). Oversized
bottle may impact the number of bottles that can be stored in the wine cabinet.
Φ30mm
300mm
215mm
Φ75mm

Temperature zones in the wine cooler
Due to air circulation within the cooler, it is common to have different temperature zones in the cooler. The upper area’s
temperature will be higher while the lower area will be lower.
Beverage arrangement
It is recommended to store the different types of wine in the following sequence, from top to bottom
Strong red wine
Pink and mild red wine
White wine
Champagne and spritzer
We suggest to pour wine in temperature below serving temp, as the wine would warm up quickly once
poured into tumbler.
General guidelines for wine storage
l
l
l
l
Do not store bottled wine in boxes or cases inside the wine cooler.
Do not over-pack the wine cooler. Space is needed between bottles for proper air circulation.
Air moisture that condensed on bottles can be wiped off with cloth.
Suggested serving temperature:
- Light dry whites, roses and sparkling wines: 40°F to 50°F.
- Full bodied whites and light, fruity reds: 50°F to 60°F.
- Ful bodied reds and ports: 60°F to 54°F.
l Keep in mind that wine served cool will warm up immediately in the glass and wine served warm
will only get warmer. It is best to start a little lower than target temperature.
NOTE:
l Operating temperature for this wine cooler is between 16°C to 32°C (61°F to 89°F).
l If ambient temperature falls below 16°C/61°F, the temperature inside the cooler will drop as well and may
damage wines that are sensitive to temperature.
l If ambient temperature is above 32°C/89°F and when humidity reaches 75%RH, frost may form.
l Place the cooler in an area that is well ventilated. Keep away from direct sunlight or next to heat source
(such as radiator, stove, etc.). Add a suitable insulation board if necessary.
l Limit the frequency of opening the cooler’s door and shorten the opening time.
l Add wines after the unit has cooled down.

Maintenance
Disconnect the cooler
Unplug power plug to disconnect the cooler before maintenance.
Storage
If the cooler is not to be used for an extended period of time, please:
1.Unplug the cooler;
2.Clean the cooler;
3.Leave the door ajar/open to prevent mold and mildew growth.
Cleaning the cooler
Keeping the wine cooler clean and dust free will improve the cooling effect and conserve energy.
The interior of the cooler should be cleaned regularly to avoid odor. Cleaning procedure as follow:
1.Unplug and disconnect power.
2.Clean door seal by wiping with cloth dampened with water only, wipe thoroughly.
3.Use slightly warm water and a little dish soap to clean the cooler’s housing. Do not let water spilt onto the control
panel, control elements and illuminator.
4.Reconnect power when cleaning is completed.
Do not use hard brushes, steel balls, wire brushes, abrasives (such as
toothpastes), organic solvents (such as alcohol, acetone, banana oil, etc.),
boiling water, acid or alkaline items to clean the cooler. These items
may damage the cooler surface and interior.
Do not rinse with water so as not to affect the electrical insulation properties.
Notes
Do not use detergent and solvent with sand or acid.
The drain hole shall be cleaned regularly to ensure water can be drained. Clean the drain hole with
a small pipe cleaner or something similar.

The following simple issues can be handled by the user. Please call Sunpentown Customer
Service at 1-800-330-0388 if the issues are not settled.
No power
Odor
Unit is not cold enough
Check if cooler is plugged and connected to power;
Low voltage;
Power failure or circuit tripped
Was food placed in the wine cooler?
Whether foods are rotten;
Whether the interior shall be cleaned.
Check temperature control setting.
External environment may be too high.
Door opened too frequently or left open too long.
Door gasket does not seal completely.
Long-term operation
of compressor
It is normal that wine cooler operates for longer time in
summer when the ambient temperature is higher;
Frequent opening of wine cooler door.
Thick frost layer (defrost is needed)
The wine cooler door
can not be properly
closed.
The door is stuck, check for objects
Unit is not leveled
Shelves are out. of position.
Loud noises
Check if bottles are properly placed
Unit is not leveled.
Some noise are from the ow of refrigerant, which is normal.
Warm tips:
◆The wine cooler enclosure may emit heat during operation specially in summer, this is caused by
the radiation of the condenser, and it is a normal phenomenon.
◆Condensation: condensation phenomenon will be detected on the exterior surface and door
seals of the freezer when the ambient humidity is large, this is a normal phenomenon, and the
condensation can be wiped away with a dry towel.
◆Airow sound: Refrigerants circulating in the refrigerant lines will produce eruption of sound and
grunts which is normal does not affect the cooling effect.
◆Buzz: Buzz will be generated by running compressor specially when starting up or shutting down.
◆Clatter: The solenoid valve or electric switch valve will clatter which is a normal phenomenon
and does not affect the operation.
◆The refrigerating chamber will periodically frost and defrost (water drops will be generated on the
backside of the refrigerating chamber when defrosting) which are normal.
