Your AMPROBE instrument has a limit-
ed warranty agáinst defective materials
and/or workmanship for one year from
the date of purchase provided that, in
the opinion of the factory, the instru-
ment has not been tampered with or
taken apart. -
Should your instrument fail due to
defective materials, and/or workman-
ship during the one-year warranty
- period, return it along with a copy of
your dated bill of sale which must
identify instrument by model number
and serial number.
For your protection, please use the
instrument as soon as possible. If
damaged, or should the need arise to
return your instrument, it must be
securely wrapped (to prevent damage
in transit) and sent prepaid via Air
Parcel Post insured or UPS where

AMPROBE INSTRUMENT
MODEL THWD-1 INSTRUCTIONS
(1) Remove protective Sensor cover.
(2) Turn meter on by pressing ON/OFF
utton
(3) Press C/F key to convert reading to
desired range. Both temperatura
and relative humidity measurement
will display simultaneously,
MIN/MAX FUNCTION
(1) Press and hold MN/MAX button
until (MIN) appears on display.
Display is now showing minimum
humidity and temperature reading
in memory.
(2) Press and hold MN/MX button
again until (MAX) appears in dis
play. Display is now showing maxi
mum humidity and temperature
readings in memory.

- and humidity readings press and
“hold MN/MX button until Min or
Max disappears from display.
(4) To clear current MIN and MAX
readings from memory press and
hold reset button until entire dis-
play flashes.
DATA HOLD FUNCTION
Press hold button until (HOLD)
appears in display. The current read-
ing is now being held and will not
change until HOLD function is can-
celled. Press reset button to cancel
HOLD function. HOLD function can be
used for temperature, humidity, dew
point, and wet bulb.
DEW POINT FUNCTION:
Press and hold (td/WBT) button until
td appears on left side of display. Unit
- Will now display Dew Point temp.
— WET BULB FUNCTION:
Press and hold (td/WTB) button until
WB appears on left side of display. -
Unit will now display Wet Bulb temper-
ature. Intermittent flashing of WB indi-
Cates that current reading is being cal-
culated and updated due to constant
changes in humidity and temperature
in environment.
TO EXIT DEW POINT/WET
BULB FUNCTION
Press and hold td/WTB button until td
or WB disappears from display.
AUTO POWER OFF FEATURE
Unit will turn itself off after 20 minutes,
(Sleep Mode).
To override Auto Power Off functions
(NON-SLEEP MODE) press ON/OFF
and MIN/MAX button simuitaneously.
After the full display appears release
ON/OFF button, the display will show
“n” in the display. When “n” appears
then release MIN/MAX button. Unit will
now be in Non-Sieep Mode.
LO-BATTERY INDICATOR
Lo-Battery Indication is signaled by the
entire display flashing. This is the sig-
nal to replace batteries at once: Failure
to replace batteries will have an effect
on the accuracy of the readings
received from the hygrometer.
NOTE: Remember low batteries will
tend to give inaccurate readings. So
make sure you have good batteries.
CAUTION: Please do not immerse
probe into liquids as this will cause
permanent damage to the sensor.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If there appears to be a malfunction
during the operating of the instrument,
the following steps should be per-
formed in order to isolate the cause o
the problem.
(1) Check the battery,
(2) Review operating instructions for
possible mistakes in operating
procedure. a
(3) If the instrument still malfunctions,
place it with packing slip along with
à brief description of the problem
in sufficient cushioning material
in a shipping carton. Be sure to
indicate the serial number located
on the back of the instrument.
