1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Sunbeam Products, Inc. doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions or if in Canada, Sunbeam Corporation (Canada)

Limited doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions (collectively “JCS”) warrants that for a period of one year from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship. JCS, at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period.

Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product. Doing so will void this warranty.

This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable.

Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. JCS dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling JCS products do not have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty.

This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than JCS or an authorized JCS service center. Further, the warranty does not cover: Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes and tornadoes.

What are the limits on JCS’s Liability?

JCS shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express, implied or statutory warranty or condition.

Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty.

JCS disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations, express, implied, statutory or otherwise.

JCS shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or inability to use the product including incidental, special, consequential or similar damages or loss of profits, or for any breach of contract, fundamental or otherwise, or for any claim brought against purchaser by any other party.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

14. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/ receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).

15. When unplugging, be sure to pull by the plug and not the cord.

16. If the heater will not operate, see specific instructions on Auto Safety Shut-off.

17. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void your warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user serviceable parts. All servicing should be performed by qualified personnel only.

18. Discontinue use if plug or outlet is hot. It is recommended that the outlet be replaced if plug or outlet is hot to touch.

19. The heater must not be located immediately below a socket-outlet. Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.

20. CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

22. WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. Do not use

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Carefully remove your heater from the box. Please save the carton for off-season storage.

2. Make sure the unit is in the OFF ( 0 ) position before plugging the heater into the outlet.

3. Avoid overloading your circuit by not using other high wattage appliances in the same outlet. Place heater on a firm, level surface. At 1500 watts, this unit draws 12.5 Amps.

Mode Control

Turn the Mode Control to the desired setting:

0 - OFF Mode

If you want to shut off the heater at any time of operation, turn the Mode Control to OFF ( 0 ) position.

Power Light may remain lit until the heater is unplugged.

- Fan only Setting

Heater will run at fan-only operation without heat output.

1 - LOW Heat

The heater will run continuously at 1000W.

2 - HIGH Heat

The heater will run continuously at 1500W.

NOTE: To start the heater operation, make sure the

Thermostat Control is turned clockwise to the highest position.

Thermostat Control

1. Before setting the thermostat, allow heater to operate and warm up the room. As noted, you need to turn the Thermostat Control clockwise to the highest position to start the heater.

2. When the desired temperature comfort level is reached, lower the thermostat setting until the power light turns off. This is done by moving the Thermostat

Control counter-clockwise toward the lowest setting.

3. The control will now automatically maintain the pre-set temperature level by turning the heater ON and OFF.

NOTE: It is normal for the heater to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the preset temperature. To prevent the unit from cycling, you need to change the thermostat setting.

CAUTION: FRONT GRILL IS HOT WHEN UNIT IS IN

OPERATION.

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE

Always unplug the heater before cleaning and allow the heater to cool down.

Clean the unit with a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.

2. NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to clean the unit.

3. After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a cloth or towel.

4. Store heater in a cool, dry location.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If your heater fails to operate:

• Turn the heater OFF and UNPLUG THE HEATER.

• Make sure the electrical outlet or circuit breaker is working.

• Check for obstructions. If you find an obstruction turn the heater OFF, and unplug the unit. Carefully remove the obstruction and follow the reset instructions.

• The temperature may be set too low. Turn the

Thermostat Control clockwise until the heater restarts.

• Make sure Mode Control is in LO ( 1), HI (2) or

FAN ( ) setting.

Please DO NOT attempt to open or repair the heater.

AUTO SAFETY SHUT-OFF

This heater is equipped with a patented, technologically advanced, safety system that requires the user to reset the heater if there is a potential overheat situation. When a potential overheat temperature is reached, the system will automatically shut the heater off. It can only resume operation when the user resets the unit.

RESET INSTRUCTIONS

If your heater shuts down:

1) Turn Control to OFF.

2) Unplug the unit and wait 30 minutes.

3) Plug in and operate normally.

1. Lisez les instructions avant d’employer ce radiateur.

2. L’appareil est chaud lorsqu’il est en fonction. Afin d’éviter toute brûlure, NE touchez PAS les surfaces chaudes avec la peau nue. Si l’appareil est doté de poignées, utilisez-les pour le déplacer. Gardez les articles combustibles, tels les meubles, oreillers, draps, papiers, vêtements et rideaux, à une distance d’au moins 0,9 m (3 pi) de tous les côtés de l’appareil.

3. Surveillez de près l’utilisation de tout appareil à proximité d’enfants, par des enfants ou par une personne handicapée, et agissez prudemment lorsqu’il doit être laissé en marche sans surveillance.

6. N'utilisez PAS cet appareil à l'extérieur.

7. Cet appareil n’est pas conçu pour l’emploi dans salle de bain, salle de lavage ou autre pièce intérieure. NE le placez JAMAIS au-dessus d’une baignoire ou d’une cuve d’eau dans laquelle il puisse tomber.

8. NE placez PAS le cordon sous une moquette. Ne le recouvrez pas de carpettes, tapis de corridor ou autre revêtement de sol. N’acheminez le cordon ni sous meubles ni sous appareils. Placez le cordon loin des endroits passants où il ne fera trébucher personne.

9. Avant de débrancher l’appareil, placez les commandes à la position d’arrêt et débranchez-le ensuite de la prise de courant.

10. N’insérez aucun objet étranger dans les ouvertures d’aération ou de sortie d’air puisque cela pourrait causer des chocs électriques ou un incendie, et même endommager l’appareil.

11. Afin d’éviter un incendie, NE bloquez PAS les ouvertures d’admission ou de sortie d’air. NE placez

PAS l’appareil sur une surface molle, comme un lit, où les ouvertures risquent d’être bloquées.

12. L’intérieur d’un radiateur comporte des pièces chaudes ainsi que des pièces produisant des arcs ou des étincelles. NE vous en servez PAS à des endroits où de l’essence, de la peinture ou des liquides inflammables sont entreposés ou utilisés.

13. N’employez ce radiateur que tel que décrit dans ce guide. Tout autre usage non recommandé par le fabricant risque de causer un incendie, des chocs

électriques ou des blessures.

14. Branchez toujours le radiateur directement sur la prise de courant. N’employez ni cordon prolongateur ni prise déplaçable (barre multiprise).

15. Lorsque vous débranchez l’appareil, tirez la fiche et non le cordon.

16. Si l’appareil ne fonctionne pas, consultez les instructions spécifiques intitulées « Arrêt automatique de sécurité ».

17. NE tentez PAS de réparer ou d’ajuster les fonctions

électriques ou mécaniques de cet appareil. Cette action entraînera l’annulation de la garantie. Il n’y a aucune pièce qui peut être réparée par l’utilisateur à l’intérieur de cet appareil. Toute réparation doit être effectuée par un personnel qualifié.

18. Arrêtez l’appareil et ne l’utilisez plus si la fiche ou la prise de courant est chaude. Nous recommandons de faire remplacer la prise de courant si la fiche ou la prise est chaude au toucher.

Le radiateur brassera l’air sans produire de chaleur.

1 - Position basse

Le radiateur fonctionnera de façon continue à 1000 watts.

2 - Position élevée

Le radiateur fonctionnera de façon continue à 1500 watts.

REMARQUE : Pour mettre le radiateur ou le ventilateur en marche, le thermostat doit être tourné en sens horaire au réglage le plus haut.

Thermostat

1. Laissez fonctionner le radiateur afin qu’il réchauffe la pièce avant de régler le thermostat. Tel que mentionné, vous mettez le radiateur en marche en tournant le thermostat (en sens horaire) au réglage le plus haut.

2. Lorsque la température ou le niveau de confort désiré est atteint, baissez le thermostat jusqu’à ce que le voyant d’alimentation s’éteigne. Pour ceci, tournez le thermostat en sens antihoraire vers le réglage bas.

3. La commande maintiendra automatiquement le niveau de température préréglé en faisant fonctionner le radiateur de façon INTERMITTENTE.

REMARQUE: Il est normal que le radiateur se mette en fonction et hors fonction en cycles afin de conserver la

INSTRUCTIONS DE FONCTIONNEMENT

1. Retirez le radiateur de la boîte avec soin. Veuillez conserver la boîte pour l’entreposage hors saison.

2. Assurez-vous que le radiateur est à la position d’ARRÊT

( 0 ) avant de le brancher sur la prise de courant.

3. Évitez de surcharger le circuit électrique en branchant d’autres appareils haute puissance sur le même circuit.

Placez le radiateur sur une surface rigide et d’aplomb. À 1500 watts, cet appareil tire un courant de

12,5 ampères.

Commande de mode

Tournez le bouton de mode au réglage désiré:

0 - Arrêt

Pour éteindre le radiateur durant le fonctionnement, tournez la commande de mode à la position arrêt ( 0 ). Le voyant lumineux peut rester allumé jusqu’à ce que le radiateur soit débranché.

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN

Débranchez toujours le radiateur et laissez-le refroidir avant d’entreprendre son nettoyage.

1. Nettoyez l'appareil avec un chiffon doux humecté d’une solution savonneuse douce.

2. N’utilisez JAMAIS des produits abrasifs ou des solvants inflammables pour nettoyer l’appareil.

3. Après le nettoyage, asséchez complètement l’appareil

à l’aide d’un chiffon ou d’une serviette.

4. Entreposez le radiateur dans un endroit frais et sec.

DÉPANNAGE

Si votre radiateur ne fonctionne pas:

• ÉTEIGNEZ le radiateur puis DÉBRANCHEZ-LE.

• Assurez-vous que la prise électrique et le disjoncteur fonctionnent de manière appropriée.

• Vérifiez s’il y a des obstructions. Si vous découvrez une obstruction, mettez le radiateur hors fonction et débranchez l’appareil. Enlevez l’obstruction avec soin et suivez les instructions de réinitialisation.

• Il est possible que le thermostat soit à un réglage trop bas. Tournez le thermostat en sens horaire jusqu’à ce que le fonctionnement reprenne

• Assurez-vous que la commande mode soit au réglage bas ( 1), haut (2) ou VENTILATEUR ( ).

NE tentez PAS d’ouvrir ni de réparer le radiateur.

ARRÊT AUTOMATIQUE DE SÉCURITÉ

Ce radiateur est doté d’un système de sécurité technologique breveté d’avant-garde. Ce système exige que l’utilisateur réinitialise le radiateur si une situation de surchauffe potentielle se présente. Si le radiateur atteint une température de surchauffe potentielle, le système arrête automatiquement l’appareil. Il ne peut reprendre son fonctionnement qu’après la réinitialisation par l’utilisateur.

INSTRUCTIONS DE RÉINITIALISATION

Si votre radiateur s’éteint...

1) Réglez la commande à l’ARRÊT

2) Débranchez le radiateur et laissez écouler

30 minutes.

3) Rebranchez le radiateur et faites-le fonctionner tel qu’indiqué dans le guide.
